Chris Hunt

Biography

Christopher Hunt is a Creative Technologist and runs his own consultancy – Controlled Frenzy. Based in Plymouth, Chris works all over the country with artists, scientists and businesses to develop engaging prototypes, products, and installations to explore their data and ideas so they can grow and adapt to new ways of working, communicating and creativity. In the last year Chris has been working on planting a line of trees across Great Britain with The Common Line, using motion capture and data platforms for dance and falls prevention with Renaissance, and enhancing a mass dance performance with immersive technologies with makeAmplify.

For his producer fellowship, Chris explored the role of the Creative Producers, Technologists, art and culture within technology innovation, alongside researching how this work fits into our current political, economic and environmental contexts. Chris also looked into how we ensure our work is accessible to as wide a range of audiences as possible.
