Description: ‘Face / On’ takes the form of a free standing door embedded with a facial recognition system. On approaching the door, the user is presented with a random persona, for example ‘female, 46’ and will only permit entry to those who fit these requirements as deemed by the algorithm. Users can then dress up and disguise themselves to gain entry and in doing so explore the boundaries of these categories of identification.
