The South West Creative Technology Network (SWCTN) is seeking to commission 8 short films (1 – 2 minutes each) to tell the story of our new Automation Prototype Projects.
The SWCTN partners are based in the Creative Industries but the project crosses Manufacturing, Health, Education, Agriculture, Engineering. The Prototype Projects have been created within the field of automation. Each project will seek to innovate in the use of creative technology, designing new products, services or experiences for the world.
The films are intended to showcase the innovation of the ideas, the journey to creating them (set-up, struggle, solution) and the potential for their use in the world. The audience for the films is future investors and funders, audiences/users, other stakeholders.
There will be the opportunity for the filmmaker to spend time with the Prototype teams and to film interviews with them at events at Kaleider in Exeter (dates below). We also imagine that the filmmaker(s) will want to visit the teams for additional footage but it will of course depend on the project, the team and the style of each film. We anticipate the equivalent of 2 trips to the Cornwall area, 4 in the Bristol, Bath area and 2 in the Devon area.
The films will be screened at the SWCTN Automation showcase in June 2020, before being shared online.
